I began my career as a social worker for the New York City public school system, working with students who were chronically truant.

In 1992 my wife and I moved to Denver.

Over the past 28 years I have continued to work with children, teens and adults in community mental health, residential and psychiatric hospital settings.

I am now devoting my time to working in a private practice in the Boulder area, serving children,  adolescents and young adults, now accepting new clients.

In my free time I enjoy cooking, riding my motorcycle, seeing live music, hiking and skiing.

Please let me know how I can be of help to you and/or your child or children.

How I Work

My main focus, from our first meeting, will be to establish a positive rapport and trust with you. As we begin, I will learn about your current situation, your strengths & challenges. I will work with you to determine your wants and needs from our relationship.

I have found that many times we sabotage our positive self- images through repeated negative self-talk. We tend to be our own worst critics, telling ourselves things that are harmful and hurtful. Negative messages that we tell ourselves hinder our progress and block our growth.

I will work to help you be mindful of this happening and to change this damaging dialog into more supportive, self-serving messages.
